Keyhash is mainly generated by android developers to integrate facebook into their application. I will be showing how to generate keyhash using java jdk. See steps below:
The code below is the default code used in the command prompt (cmd) to generate the keyhash string.
The Best and sustainable alternative to MMM is here; GetHelpWorldwide. Click here for details
keytool -exportcert -alias androiddebugkey -keystore %HOMEPATH%\.android\debug.keystore | openssl sha1 -binary | openssl base64
-> Open command prompt (cmd) as an administrator. To open command prompt as administrator, press the windows key, search “cmd“, right click on it, then click open as administrator.
-> Locate your bin file under java jdk folder, mine is: C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_72\bin
-> change the root location of the command prompt to that of bin by typing this on the command prompt:
cd C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_72\bin then hit the enter button.
-> If you don’t have openssl application, download it here, unzip, then locate the bin folder of openssl. For mine, see where i put my openssl link: C:\Users\bolu koquta\Openssl\openssl-0.9.8k_WIN32\bin
-> We are almost done. it is time to type the entire code. go to the command prompt and type the following according to the locations of the different files on your system. For mine,
keytool -exportcert -alias androiddebugkey -keystore %HOMEPATH%\.android\debug.keystore | “C:\Users\bolu koquta\Openssl\openssl-0.9.8k_WIN32\bin\openssl” sha1 -binary | “C:\Users\bolu koquta\Openssl\openssl-0.9.8k_WIN32\bin\openssl” base64
then hit the enter button. Incase the command prompt for password, put android. When I did mine, it didn’t ask for password.
